POTTED BONSAI FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO TRAIN BONSAI!

            BONSAI ARE HEALTHY PLANTS MAINTAINED IN THE DESIRED SIZE AND SHAPE BY PRUNING. THEY ARE NOT STUNTED PLANTS! Trees not growing vigorously are not trainable and results are determined by the material that you start with. If you start with young seedlings with no character, at the end of your training session, you will still have a young seedling with little or no character!

            FUKU-BONSAI IS A SKILLED PROFESSIONAL GROWER OF "PREPARED BONSAI STOCK." ALL plants are heavily trained from newly sprouted seedlings or rooted cuttings. Our plants are "born to be bonsai!" By starting training when plants are very young, we can develop branches and extraordinary character on the lower parts of the trunk as this cannot be added later! WE CULL RUTHLESSLY! While plants are very young we cull weak plants or those that do not branch well. WE OFFER ONLY THE HIGHEST QUALITY TRUE INDOOR BONSAI AVAILABLE FROM ANY SOURCE! First, we train small size bonsai that are then trained to medium size bonsai which are then trained into large size bonsai. If you purchase untrained nursery plants and go straight to a large size bonsai, it will lack the quality and character of trees that have developed through multiple complex processes. There's no shortcuts to producing the highest quality plants!

            Fuku-Bonsai's original standard "SUMO" (S) styling are available also in #4 size Living Lovable (4LL8-S), #8 size Living Sculpture (8LS8-S), #17 size Living Sculpture, or larger Custom Collection.   "ROOTS" (R) styling are now available as #4 size Living Lovable (4LL8-R)#8LS8-R LIVING SCULPTURE and #17 LIVING SCULPTURE size. "HAWAIIAN DRAGON" styling is available as #4 size Living Lovable (4LL8-D) and sometimes in the #8LS8-D size.   ROOT-OVER-ROCK #8LS8-RR LIVING SCULPTURE are the aged instructor demonstration plants from the Keiki Bonsai Workshops given at the Fuku-Bonsai Cultural Center in Kurtistown.

           #4LL8 LIVING LOVABLES in 3"x5"x2" brown rectangular plastic bonsai pots are 3 to 5 years old have been pruned and repotted several times and have ideal compact root systems! Even our youngest premium quality prepared bonsai stock have a lot of character and extra branches and allows the new owner-trainer options to set the future shape. These are often purchased with #8 Conversion Kit to create larger #8LS LIVING SCULPTURE. Although more costly, this is preferable to trying to graft on new branches onto cheap inferior bonsai stock.

             #8LS LIVING SCULPTURE in 8" diameter x 2" deep pots are ideal bonsai sizes that fit under artificial light units. These may be 6 to 12 years in training and are ideal for potting up into a #17 Conversion Kit to create your own Custom Collection with you being the trainer!

            #17LS LIVING SCULPTURE in 17" x 12" x 2" oval pots are an attractive size for a larger room or office. These are older 8LS8 Living Sculpture that have been potted up as part of the demonstration portion of the advanced workshops at the Fuku-Bonsai Cultural Center.          Fuku-Bonsai's initially produced popular Hawaiian Lava Plantings that are very easy-care and great gift items. Since we began the website in 1999, there has been a steady shift to potted bonsai.
