FUKU-BONSAI WORKSHOP
PORTAL PAGE

Fuku-Bonsai produces premium high-success TRUE INDOOR BONSAI™ workshops for isolated individuals and for groups.  Our packages are used by bonsai clubs for beginner workshops and quantity discounts are available! The most concise information in the TRUE INDOOR BONSAI HANDBOOK explains the basic principles!  It also includes TRUE INDOOR BONSAI SOIL that is an extremely fast-draining aggregate-based media that incorporates a lot of air to assure healthy roots!  We assist individuals in formulating soil media if they intend to utilize large quantities and have a suitable aggregate available.

The heart of each workshop package is a professionally pre-trained prepared bonsai stock plant!  The tree provided as part of the Introductory Workshop Package is in a 2" nursery pot already 3-5 years in training with a stout base, strong established low branches, and already with a shallow compact root system from having been root-pruned a minimum of 2-3 times!  A bonsai truism is that your results at the end of the workshop is directly related to the quality of the tree at the start of the workshop!  Although Fuku-Bonsai can complete potting and sell potted bonsai, we offer complete highest quality pre-trained workshop components to introduce TRUE INDOOR BONSAI to anyone interested.  After many years,  we believe that much of our success is based upon a difficult to obtain low-nitrogen / high phosphorus ultra slow-release Nutrient Granules and we include a sampler packet in each workshop package and have obtained permission to make it available for purchase in small quantities by our customers.

We invite you to compare our Introductory Workshop Package with anything available on the Internet.  You'll find we produce the highest quality products and complete packages with email and website support.  Most adults will be able to complete the workshop with just the instruction sheet.  But email us if you have questions.  With adult coaching, 10-year old youths have no problems at workshops at Fuku-Bonsai where often an entire family learn together!  The youngest person so far was 5-years old!  Fuku-Bonsai is the international pioneer and leader of popular bonsai that can be grown anywhere by anyone who can grow houseplants!  These workshop packages are great for gifts for anyone interested in bonsai.

RON'S 1:10 PROJECT
Ron Davis of Montana has visited several times and was introduced to our then new Fuku-Bonsai 1:10 Project on his most recent visit.  I encouraged him to join us in researching the concepts and culture of houseplant bonsai in shallow saucer-pots ten times wider that deep.  This would greatly upgrade the standards of houseplant bonsai.  He took me up on the challenge to create eight unique bonsai and got a special deal that included media, shallow saucer-pots, and eight choice 2" prepared bonsai stock!  Here are the first five reports:
Introduction and Report #1-Sumo

INTRODUCTION TO DR. BARRY GRAYSON'S WORKSHOP
Barry had visited us in our early days when we were starting the export nursery and over the years, obtained several of our plants. He's studied bonsai under some fine people and when he was asked to present a bonsai workshop for his garden club,  he selected our workshop materials.  Barry ordered a number of other plants and took great photos that tell the story of how we packed and shipped them.
DR. GRAYSON'S ROOT-OVER-ROCK WORKSHOP REPORT
Not content to do a standard workshop for his friends, he took it to another level by using Living Lovables Roots and created a "root-over-rock" workshop! It's an impressive story!
