As you can see, we are in the midst of revising the Fuku-Bonsai website. Do you have recommendations on how to improve it.

FEEDBACK REQUESTED ABOUT THIS ORDER FORM: Although Fuku-Bonsai is a comparative giant in the field of bonsai, we're a modest company with only a few in our staff handling all orders. This is good and bad. It's good if you want prompt personalized service and like the idea of talking directly to a person instead of an answering machine. If you need information or have questions or problems regarding our plants, we prefer and invite you to email. We do not have the capability of a secured website and therefore manually process all credit card orders through PayPal.

Customers have recommended that we install shopping cards to make ordering easier and so far we've resisted doing so. Because we do not have the capability of a secured website, it is not possible to have shopping carts or automatic credit card processing unless we out-source order-taking and order-processing to others. WE DO NOT BELIEVE THAT ANY LARGE HI-TECH EFFICIENT ORDER PROCESSING COMPANY CAN GIVE YOU BETTER OR MORE KNOWLEDGEABLE PERSONALIZED SERVICE COMPARED TO FUKU-BONSAI'S STAFF! We've had frustrating experiences when forced to deal with call centers who are experts at giving a run-around without really answering questions.

Besides the huge sales volume needed to justify the very high installation, on-going, and maintenance / continually upgrading costs, there are limits to computerized order processing which are mainly okay for a single item order. It is possible to create a dedicated website geared just for sales but it likely would require the use of shopping carts. Shopping carts cannot easily handle special discounts and requires installation of "buy-it-now" buttons all over. It is very cumbersome to make multiple address orders.

It's my opinion that there's a choice between efficiency and service standards. But in purchasing bonsai, isn't highest quality products and personalized service more important? Our customers seem to prefer personalized service and like our FREE SHIPPING WHEN 3 OR MORE ARE SENT TO THE SAME ADDRESS. I believe this order form is the easiest and best way to handle the situation. Am I wrong? Is there a better way? If so, I'd like to hear about it!
