- HAWAII IS LAVA!
- "The
Pele Curse" grows each year to a point it has a life of its own! To set your
mind at ease, we explain the story behind the curse and how to avoid it. We introduce some
basic lava forms and the beauty of nature!

 |
- HIGH-VELOCITY PUMICE EJECTA!
- When molten
lava traveling through an insulated lava tube hits an underground stream of water,
tremendous steam explosions hurl lava over 1,000' into the air creating a light frothy
material that will often float! This is the most beautiful kind of lava but it's too
fragile for most uses. It's ideal as the focus of a Micro-Lobster seamount kingdom!

 |
- DESIGN INSPIRATION!
-
Creating attractive landscapes is challenging. Developing an attractive component
that serves a biological function increases the challenge. Having the designs
suggest a believable aquatic scene adds further difficulty. But we succeeded in
blending all aesthetics, biological, and inspirational criteria to create an aquatic scene
that the Micro-Lobsters love!

 |
- CREATING THE SEAMOUNTS!
- If you start
with unique interesting materials, you'll end up with interesting results. But it
really helps if you've had years of bonsai training. In a very short time, the
Fuku-Bonsai staff attained a very high quality level! Each must meet size, weight, and
other criteria, BUT EACH IS UNIQUE!
|
 |
- COMPLETING THE SCENE!
- In bonsai,
all elements must be in scale. Because the Micro-Lobsters are so small, we're
working with a tiny scale so no element over-whelms another. Each component must be
selected to create a whole!
|
|
- THE MAGIC OF LIGHT!
- The first
Introductory Aquariums were nice and they received enthusiastic comments from our visitors
who loved to examine the details with the loupe. But a whole new appreciation burst forth
when we added light! It's possible to see the caves, crevices, and every
possible detail . . . and the Micro-Lobsters become a bright dark
RED!
|
|
- THE MIRACLE OF AIR!
- It's
hard to get people excited about air as we take it for granted. But in addition to
the miracle tasks that it accomplishes in a Micro-Lobster Aquarium or Breeding Tank, air
also adds to the beauty of nature!
|
|
- LAVA'S BIOLOGICAL FUNCTION!
- In
nature, Micro-Lobsters and lava go together and there is a distinct possibility that the
red "opae-ula" of the Big Island may be due to the minerals in our geologically
young lava. Lava also serves an important pivotal biological function that make our
aquariums and breeder tanks exceptional!
