                The Fuku-Bonsai Cultural Center & Hawaii State Bonsai Repository and the FUKUBONSAI.COM website are co-sponsored by Fuku-Bonsai Inc., a Hawaiian corporation of mostly Big Island stockholders,  and the IRS tax-exempt non-profit Mid-Pacific Bonsai Foundation as both organizations have similar bonsai-oriented mission statements.  It is our intention to include a Mid-Pacific Bonsai Foundation Newsletter in each of the FBnews email newsletters.

              In modern times, on the Big Island of Hawaii,  Hiroshi Ikeda was "The Spirit of Big Island Bonsai Aloha."  More than anyone else, he reflected the history, generosity and the goodness of an idealized bonsai community.

BIG ISLAND BONSAI ASSOCIATION'S 25TH ANNIVERSARY ALL-BIG ISLAND BONSAI SHOW
                Mid-Pacific Bonsai Foundation and Fuku-Bonsai honors the late Man Lung penjing master Yee-sun Wu of Hong Kong.  Includes a report of a lecture-demonstration by David Fukumoto and Michael Imaino.
