THE SOUTHERN MOST PART
OF THE UNITED STATES!

There are three basic routes to go from Hilo to Kona. Saddle Road through the middle of the island is not allowed in some rental car contracts because the area is often dangerous driving under dense fog and sharp unexpected turns.  The northern route is the fastest with more traffic. But to get the full flavor of the Big Island, the southern route is also recommended.

Between Volcano and South Kona, there are long scenic drives.  Slow down and make frequent stops. In the center of Naalehu, is the home of popular sweetbread where you can stroll the gardens and enjoy a nice coffee break.
