FUKU-BONSAI IS ENTERING A NEW ERA! Much of the nursery is rebuilt and we are increasing staff and production. More importantly, the quality standards were raised and these photos taken in April 2011 more closely reflect the quality of the plants being shipped. We guarantee satisfaction and safe arrival.
BONSAI ARE HEALTHY PLANTS MAINTAINED IN THE DESIRED SIZE AND SHAPE BY PRUNING. THEY ARE NOT STUNTED PLANTS! Trees not growing vigorously are not trainable and results are determined by the quality of starting materials. If you start with young seedlings with no character, at the end of your training session, you will still have a young seedling with little or no character!

THE KEY TO FUKU-BONSAI'S SUCCESS IS OUR 2" PREPARED BONSAI STOCK! These MUST have good trunk-character within 1" of the soil line and a shallow, compact root system 1/2" below the soil line!
First, we train small bonsai that are then trained to medium bonsai which are then trained into large bonsai. If you purchase untrained nursery plants and go straight to a large sized bonsai, it will lack the quality and character of trees that have been developed through multiple complex processes. There are no shortcuts to producing highest quality bonsai!

Our entry level INTRODUCTORY WORKSHOP PACKAGE up-pots a 2" prepared bonsai stock into a 5"x3"x2" pot and over time will develop towards a 4LL8-Sumo.
