     Photo #4: FRED THOMPSON & DAVID FUKUMOTO AT THE COMPLETION OF FUKU-BONSAI'S PREMIUM KEIKI BONSAI WORKSHOP.  Fred Thompson of Mill Valley, California visited the Fuku-Bonsai Cultural Center on May 11, 2001 and was one of the first to take the workshop.  He agreed to allow his photo to be used and wrote:
     "Have been in bonsai (outdoors) for 15 years in California. I was very impressed with the application of indoor bonsai and wanted to gain more information with my visit. The concept I found here was very exciting . . . "A Bonsai School."  I have attended many bonsai "clubs" around the world, but nothing like the concept that I experienced here in Hilo, Hawaii.
