FUKU-BONSAI
ENTERS A NEW ERA!
In 1989, Fuku-Bonsai sprayed
defective Benlate and suffered over $30 million of losses and began
a major battle for survival! Total net recovery from the 1994
Benlate product liability and the 2007 DuPont fraud settlements
totalled less than 10% of our losses after taxes and legal fees.
We got screwed but survived, reinvented the company and moving to
rebuilding and expansion.
In 2014, our computers crashed, we lost our emailing list, and the
JOURNAL OF TROPICAL & TRUE INDOOR BONSAI ended after almost
two years of monthly issues. We continued to make progress and will
soon publish a monthly email FBnews with the assistance of Constant
Contact who will maintain the emailing list. Everyone
interested in our Tropical and True Indoor Bonsai specialty are
invited to sign up.
In 2015-2016, our standard plastic pots became unavailable and
we sold out our popular 4LL8 Small Premium Potted Bonsai and the
breakthrough IWP INTRODUCTORY WORKSHOP PACKAGE!
4LL8 IS AGAIN AVAILABLE. IWP IS STILL IN
LIMITED QUANTITIES, BUT PWP PREMIUM INTRODUCTORY WORKSHOP PACKAGE

Computer problems are more extensive than we thought but we are
moving towards issuing the monthly email FBnews. You're
invited to sign up and we'll be sending out emails to "clean" or
emailing list to avoid sending notices to those not interested.
There will be a continuous stream of information for those who
visit the website often or after monthly notification. I
prefer this instead of Facebook, Instagram, or other social media.

ORDERING FUKU-BONSAI PRODUCTS:
1. FUKU-BONSAI IS COMMITTED TO THE HIGHEST INTEGRITY, SUPERIOR
BONSAI PRODUCTS, AND PERSONALIZED SERVICE!
We began bonsai in 1962 and the
certified export nursery in 1973 to ship to all parts of the United
States. About half of our business is supplying our Fuku-Bonsai
Hawaii Authorized Retailers who primarily sell only our smallest
pre-packaged pre-certified Hawaiian Lava Plantings to visitors to
Hawaii who handcarry the plants back to all parts of the United
States.
The other half is direct retail sales of our entire product lines
that include four sizes of Hawaiian Lava Plantings, several sizes of
Premium Potted Bonsai (including Custom Collection up to 40+ years
in training) and a range of workshops and materials. These
sales are at the Fuku-Bonsai Cultural Center, retail mail
order, or sales due to our website to individuals, bulk club orders,
or to a relatively small number of repeat non-Hawaii accounts.
Most our repeat business is to past Fuku-Bonsai Cultural Center
visitors, workshop participants, customers or gift recipients.
We are happy to answer questions and are able to assist customers by
email if they send photos and details if they have concerns or
problems with our plants.

ordering in this manner, we need to know your shipping address as
there is a $20 Arizona phytosanitary certificate fee (Arizona only)
and a $10 Alaska FedEx surcharge (Alaska only), Email really
works better than a phone call as we can give it enough attention to
get you the best correct information and recommendations. If
you're planning to visit us in Hawaii in the future and considering
a workshop, we recommend you consider ordering a Premium
Workshop Package and do it before you come. That will give you
a lot more understanding and we can include more advanced
information when you actually visit us and take another workshop
here!

A large percentage of our repeat
customers are not comfortable with making orders completely on the
internet. They prefer to phone in their orders, chat a

complaints as the website is not easy or optimum for mobile phones,

they select website trees and we don't remove the photo quickly from

specific Custom Collection plant is available, and if not we can try
to find a similar tree in that style and price range.

the challenge is to retain all that is good and to improve upon it!
THE GOOD: The Fuku-Bonsai website is the most authoritive and
reputable bonsai website that is willing and able to help current
and future customers. It contains more pertinent information
about our specialty area.
THE BAD: The information is hard to find! It's time to edit,
reorganize, and time to install a search engine within the website.
This is reasonably possible with a detailed editing of all articles,
creating keywords, and selecting a search engine.
HELP WANTED: We seek
long-term computer-savvy associates interested in True Indoor
Bonsai. We can reciprocate by providing special bonsai plants
and training assistance. For those who can handle larger
computer assignments as members of the "post-Fukumoto successor
team," compensation can be via plants or even Fuku-Bonsai
corporate stock.
THE MOVEMENT TO SOCIAL MEDIA! I'm told it's time to get a
Facebook page and that it will be an alternative way to stay in
